St. Paddy’s Day Lunch Essentials:
These aren’t 100% necessary but they will definitely help you make your cute St. Patricks Day lunches a heck of a lot easier! Still, there are plenty of ways to make a fun lunch without these items!
1. Sandwich cutters
St. Patrick’s Day Cookie Cutter Set
This is a great set! You probably won’t use the beer mug one for your little ones lunch but all the other ones are perfect! I like that this one comes with a four-leaf clover, a rainbow and two shamrocks. The two shamrock sizes are great if you plan on doing a smaller shape cut out within a shaped sandwich to reveal sprinkles or jelly.
*Note for new lunch makers: Yes, you can totally use cookie cutters as sandwich or tortilla cutters! They absolutely don’t need to be specifically labeled “sandwich” cutters.
2. Fruit/Veggie Cutters
Here’s another great set option and perfect if you only plan on using shamrocks and/or a four-leaf clover. I wanted to specifically link this one though because of the smaller cutters they include! These smaller and deeper cutters are specifically for fruits and veggies!
3. Food picks
St Patrick’s Day Party Decorations
Now, I have an absolutely ridiculous love for food picks! My collection is ever growing and I cannot express how much fun I think food picks are. They are truly a lunch making essential and can “spice” up any boring lunch and make it cute!
I searched high and low for “real” plastic St. Patrick’s Day themed food picks that are reusable but alas, I couldn’t find any. Not one. What the heck!? So, these aren’t reusable are actual tooth picks (so maybe not for the super young kiddos) but they’re still cute nonetheless!

4. Themed napkins
I think throwing in cute napkins are always a fun and “extra” option! Please don’t buy these on Amazon though, they’re so overpriced! Hit up your local Dollar Tree and I’m sure you’ll find plenty of cute options for literally a dollar!
5. Alphabet cutters
Mini Alphabet Cookie Cutters Set
These alphabet cutters are specifically St. Patrick’s Day related but I noticed a lot of these lunch ideas spell out “lucky” with cheese/fruit/etc. This is what they use to do that! I have these exact ones and they’re great!
6. St. Patrick’s Day lunch notes
Lastly, an extremely simple yet still fun way to add a smile to your kids St. Patrick’s Day with a cute lunch note!
St. Patrick’s Day Lunch Ideas For Kids
1. Gold coins
Here’s a cute and healthy St. Patrick’s Day lunch idea! Love the use of spinach tortillas and that the mini Ritz crackers look like gold coins!
2. Pot of gold
How stinkin’ adorable is that pot of gold sandwich!? I love that they used a cucumber peel and mini alphabet shape cutters to spell out “lucky”!
3. Rainbow veggies
Kiddo not a huge fan of sandwiches? This is a great healthier option to get your little one excited to eat the rainbow!
4. Lucky lunch
How fun is this lunch? I love the alphabet cheeze-its but I don’t think they sell them anymore. Alphabet cookies might be another great option instead!
5. Wrapped in luck
Wraps are so underrated for kids lunches! Such a great idea. I’m also loving the shamrock cucumbers!
6. Fruit rainbow
Making a fruit rainbow is an adorable idea!
7. Bagel rainbow
We love using bagels for lunch! Personally, we typically top them peanut butter and bananas but this is a fun twist! Cream cheese with fruit loops and cauliflower for clouds!
8. Lucky I have you salad
Okay, this might be a less popular option but if you have a kiddo who will eat salad this is so sweet! My middle son is the only one who will eat salads, he’d love this!
9. Sham-rockin’ lunch
Fun, simple and easy! I’m all about it! This is a picky eater’s dream lunch lol
10. Pot of gold cheese
The pot of gold made out of cheese is way too cute!
11. I “heart” clovers
Here’s a great way to make a clover without buying a special cutter! Four heart shaped mini sandwiches make this super easy.
12. Can’t pinch me
You’re little one is surely not going to get pinched with either of these all out green lunch ideas! Love it!
13. Shamrock reveal
So, this is similar to what I was talking about when I mentioned using a smaller shamrock shape for the middle of a sandwich. We did this with a heart sandwich for valentines day to reveal strawberry jelly in the middle and it was a big hit!
14. Shamrock chips
I was low-key a bit sad looking for fun shaped St. Patricks day foods. For Halloween we see veggie chips shaped as bats, pretzels shaped as pumpkins, etc. But, this is a great idea to just make your own right at home!
You can cut out a shamrock shapes from a spinach tortilla, spray them with a little oil and bake for a few minutes for your very own homemade shamrock chips!
I hope these St Patrick’s Day lunch ideas for kids gave you some great ideas on ways to make a fun lunch for your lucky little one this year!
