17 Fun After School Snacks For Kids to Brighten Their Day!
1. Fruit Cones
These look absolutely delicious and super easy to make too! My kids always say the cone is the best part!
2. Apple Teeth
My kids LOVE these! We make these around Halloween time a lot and they’re always a hit! Super easy to throw together too, I swear!
The key is to cut the apple slices thin enough! If they’re too thick it just looks wonky and won’t hold together super well. Just a pro-tip for you lol!
3. Frozen Yogurt Bananas
These look to die for! What kid wouldn’t love this??
These banana pops require 2 hours freezing time. If you get the boring prep work part done first, then when your kids gets home they can do the fun part – toppings! Have the bananas freeze for the last hour while they get some reading or homework done and – viola! A delicious & fun after school snack for your kids!
4. Cracker spiders
Cute and super simple – a win-win!
Kids love anything animal or bug shaped for some reason so this is a fool proof hit! Ritz crackers, peanut butter, pretzel sticks and candy eyes will bring these spiders to live in no time.
Pro-tip: If you use candy eyes, simply add a small smear of peanut butter to the back of them to get them to stick to the crackers!
5. Apple Pretzels
How stinking cute are these pretzels? This would make an adorable first day back to school snack with some cubed cheese or something for some protein!
6. Veggie Rainbow
A super easy way to “eat the rainbow”! This set up would take 5 minutes max and is a great way to entice little ones to eat their veggies in a fun way!
7. Apple Nachos
These look absolutely delicious! We do something similar where we slice up apples, drizzle peanut butter, honey and cinnamon over them and its the bomb dot com!
8. PB&J Tacos
I saw this idea pop up in a Target ad last year and we tried it for a bento lunch. Unfortunately, it didn’t hold up super well to be taken as a lunch but as a snack where you can eat it right away, its great!
9. Easy dirt cups
I totally get that this isn’t healthy in the slightest but sometimes a treat snack is just in order after a long school day! This is the “lazy way” to make these with pre-made pudding!
10. Apple boats
These would make the perfect after school snack for kids! Protein, fruit, fun and yummy!
11. Fruit Kabobs
This makes a fun after school snack for kids and is super easy! All you need are a couple skewers, some fruit, some cheese and mini shape cutters to pull this snack together in just minutes.

12. Rice cake owls
I think this would be a fun hands-on activity snack they could make themselves! We all know kids like things that you made themselves better and this would be very easy for them to do on their own. Prepare some sliced banana, sliced apples, fresh blueberries, carrot triangles and Cheerios in a couple small bowls and let them get to work on making their very own owl!
