Still looking for the perfect classroom valentine to send into your kiddos school? I’ve got you!

When brainstorming Valentine ideas this year my daughter initially thought she wanted to make everyone cute valentine themed bracelets. Later, she ultimately decided that idea was over done!

We eventually landed on keychains as a similar but still more unique and less overdone idea!

These keychain valentines are a cute, practical and candy-free little keepsake that won’t just be thrown in the garbage after the party.

Classmates can clip these personalized keychains to their backpacks, lunchboxes or even pencils cases – Plus, they’re super easy to put together with my free printable tags!

The linked beads come with string. We went ahead and used the string it came with and it actually held up really well, we were pretty impressed.

My daughter was super picky when picking out these beads.. First, she wanted to go with clay beads since those are very trendy right now. But after she thought about how long it would take with those small beads, she opted for these.

These glass beads are cute and less “kiddy” than normal plastic beads. Or so claims my nine year old daughter lol

Bead sets come with more than enough beads. no need to purchase multiple sets!

How to assemble

  • Make beaded keychains
  • Print & cut tags on card stock paper
  • Punch a hole in top corner
  • Attach keychain with ribbon/yarn
  • Sign it – have your kiddo sign their name on the from line

Tips & Tricks

Pretty straight forward but here are a few helpful tips ✨

  • Be sure to tie the string to the keychain with the name going down
  • Use glue dots to secure keychain and make it overall less floppy
  • Keep keychains somewhat short
  • When printing use these setting: Print > scale to fit > fill entire page
