This space themed lunch for kids was a huge hit with my little one! Here’s how you can make it too!

It’s the first month of school here and we’re back to packing lunches!

I love to keep things interesting and school exciting for my kids. One way I do that is by packing fun lunches!

My son got a new lunch box this year and picked a space themed one. I knew I wanted to pack an entire space themed lunch for him to go with it!

Here’s how you can recreate this space themed lunch for kids!

Space themed lunch for kids

First things first, the lunch box!

This obviously isn’t required to make this cute lunch but it sure does take it up a notch!

The lunchbox we’re using is called a MunchBox. We bought ours from Cutekidstuff.com!

The only downside is if you live in the US, you’ll need to spend a certain amount to qualify for free shipping.

Next, the space themed sandwiches!

Let’s be honest, this is probably the most fun part of this entire lunch!

These were actually super easy to create with the help of these cookie cutter stamps.

These sandwiches come out pretty small (1.5×2.5 inches) but make the perfect finger food and easily fit into different sized bento compartments!

Use two slices of bread
Cut out the shape twice
On one of the cut shapes, press down the stamp (press firmly.. the bread on this side will be thin)
Add your sandwich contents (if using meat and cheese, use the cutter on them as well)
Put it all together!

If you want be a little extra like I did, you can always trace the imprint as well.

I used these food safe edible markers to easily draw on the sandwich!
