These Halloween hairstyles for girls are so dang cute and perfect to wear to school!
Hi friends,
Today I wanted to share a couple cute Halloween themed hairstyles my daughters been loving this spooky season!
No worries, we’re not turning anyones hair into a spider or anything crazy. These Halloween hairstyles are all super easy and can all be done in under 10 minutes!
Any of these hairstyles would be perfect for their school halloween party or even just because – Heck, my daughters been sporting this cute halloween styles all month long lol
This post is all about easy Halloween hairstyles for girls!
Halloween Hairstyle Essentials
This clips are so fun! They’re the perfect size and pretty sturdy.. we haven’t any break on us yet at least!
Spider rings are one of those items I don’t recommend you buy on Amazon (unless you need a bunch of them). Check your local Walmart or even dollar tree for these for a fraction of the price!
One of these Halloween hairstyles uses quite a few hair elastics. Colored hair elastics are a great way to liven’ up any hairstyle. We use the purple and orange ones a lot during spooky season!
Is this absolutely necessary for any of these Halloween hairstyles? No, but I always share it when sharing hairstyles. I use this everyday no matter what style I’m doing and this bottle is like magic. It creates a super fine mist with a long spray, its perfect!
Easy Halloween Hairstyles for Girls
1. Skeleton Hands
First, a really simple everyday hairstyle jazzed up with a cute little Halloween hair clip!
To recreate this hairstyle: You need to do is split the hair down the middle into two even halves.
Starting in the front on one side, create a dutch braid till about the crown on the head.
Repeat on the other side. Join the two and combine into a single pony.
Add a Halloween hair clip and you’re done!
This is the video I watched when learning how to dutch braid. Turn out it’s exactly like a French braid!
2. Spider buns
Next, a halloween twist on space buns.. SPIDER buns!
To recreate this hairstyle: You’ll need to split the hair down the middle into two even sections.
Starting on one side, create a small pony tail.
Gathering a section of hair behind that pony, combine it with the first small pony. Continue once or twice more.
Repeat on other side.
Gently tug on the hair between each set of elastics to create a small “bubble” effect.
Once to the crown of the head, use the hair in the final pony to create a bun.
Feel free to add bobby pins as needed to secure it. Add two spider rings in front of each buns and voila!
3. Spider bubble pony
This is probably my and my daughters favorite hairstyle this spooky season!
You’ll notice this hairstyle is kind of building off of the previous hairstyle. It’s super simple!
Also, I half expected her to come home with all of the spider rings missing the first time but surprisingly they all held up and stayed put every time! Yup, even that loose one towards the bottom somehow!
To recreate this hairstyle: Once again, split the hair down the middle into two even sections.
Starting on one side, create a small pony tail.
Gathering a section of hair behind that pony, combine it with the first small pony. Continue all the way down.
Repeat on other side.
Gently tug on the hair between each set of elastics to create a small “bubble” effect.
Add in spider rings down every other elastic and ta-da!
This video explains how to create a bubble braid better than I can on here lol
4. Sweet, simple and spooky
Lastly, a hairstyle that’s perfect for someone who is still learning how to dutch braid but wants a similar effect!
Also, these hair clips are super cute but unfortunately I can’t link them for you. They were sent to us by my mom and I believe she found them at Walmart! Amazon has tonsss of adorable halloween clips if you can’t find anything in stores.
To recreate this hairstyle: Start by splitting the hair down the middle into two even sections.
Create one small pony and then another small behind it. You should have two small ponytails separated by about an inch or so.
Split the first pony into two and combine it with hair gathered behind the second pony creating a third pony.
Continue doing this to the crown of the head. Feel free to tug on each “bubble” to give the hair more volume!
Tie off the last pony into two half up-half down pigtails! Add a cute Halloween cute and you’re ready to go!
This is the exact video I watched to learn how to do a longer version of this hairstyle
I think this post really goes to show that you don’t always need to recreate some insane sock bun turned into spider with legs and google eyes to still be festive! Sometimes the right accessories are all you need to switch up any hairstyle!
